Let’s get Drunk…Zoo?

I have met some pretty feisty folks in my time, who believe in nothing they cannot explain. They dissuaded most of what they did see in real life as a fluke, coincidence, unpurposeful, unplanned mistake. These people always look for the life they imagine and fail the to live the life they have here and now today. They fail to see the hand of God working in their life, they believe nothing is guiding or directing their life, not even their own self will.

These folks are pure entertainment, they have to have someone help them moment by moment because the cannot connect the dots, the realization that one thing leads to another. The daisy chain has began to unravel, they don’t know why. They do not understand the action and re-action reality’s of life.

They do the same schemes and events over and over, and in their own repetition cannot grasp, they are their own worst enemy, they do not understand that God loves them anyway. In God’s most right and just situation he will let us suffer the consequences of ourself centered, selve justifed attitudes, God will let us damage ourselves, he will let us make a big mess out of our lives, and when we have had enough and ask for his help, he will help those who are sincerely ready to seek his will.

We cannot foul God, we can only fool ourselves, we can only destroy ourselves, we have the ability to sadden God with our choices, we do not have the ability to stop him from loving us.  God wants you to wake up from your sleep.

Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love.

Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant, He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that. Don’t allow love to turn into lust, setting off a downhill slide into sexual promiscuity, filthy practices, or bullying greed. Though some tongues just love the taste of gossip, those who follow Jesus have better uses for language than that. Don’t talk dirty or silly. That kind of talk doesn’t fit our style. Thanksgiving is our dialect. You can be sure that using people or religion or things just for what you can get out of them -the usual variations on idolatry-will get you nowhere, and certainly nowhere near the kingdom of Christ, the kingdom of God. Don’t let yourselves get taken in by religious smooth talk. God gets furious with people who are full of religious sales talk but want nothing to do with him. Don’t even hang around people like that. Ephesians 5:1-8 (The Message)

We must wake up from our sleep, Climb out of our coffins, and allow Christ to show us the light of life.

We are not to live carelessly, unthinkingly, make sure we understand what our master wants.

Anything we do in excess is not the spirit of God, we need to replace all the things we are craving for Christ Jesus, Drink in his spirit and know the Joy of Spiritual Drunkenness. Sing songs from your heart to Christ, sing praises over everything, make no excuses for your own bad choices.

I love good times, and I believe that Jesus does also, he made the best wine for the wedding, celebrating is a Natual desire, however everyday is not a drunken party in real life and the behaviors that come with the lifestyle are devastating to those who are living with them, around them or at their side.

Celebrate when appropriate, Work everyday, Praise God’s Spirit every second of the way. He is the only thing that will lead you to a life that makes since.
