Coyotes, Cattle and Cowboys.

Where the hills, mountains and prairies meet on God’s terms.

Rendezvous are still popular out were we live today, you might have attended one lately if you went to a church social, pic nic, county fair, rodeo, barbecue or one of our local country stores.

People finding a way to get together, everything from fall dinners, Sunday dinner, Potlucks, Movie nights, I think they all count.

Mountain men Called the Rendezvous the gathering of the year, they came to sell their furs they had gathered, trade and meet up for fellowship, food, and celebration before winter set in and they could not get out for supplies.

Supply wagons and Preachers showed up, selling goods to settlers, Indian tribes, Men who lived in the mountains, along the streams and rivers. Preachers hoped to knock the heathen out of everyone they could, look around it didn’t happen.

Round-ups, Brandings, and neighbors helping neighbors, everyone bringing something to contribuute, weather it be cooking skills, or roping skills, no matter, everyone is there. Doing their part, getting ready for winter.

No matter where you live or what you do, I think all of us can create a gathering, attend a gathering, and work hard to help others. All these things are added into our lives when we choose to love and accept others, so as fall sets in, and winter lingers, lets get out, stock up, and take stock in God, friends, neighbors and family’s.

Romans 11:33-36 The Message says;

Have you ever come on anything quite kike this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It’s way over our heads, We’ll never figure it out.

Is there anyone around who can explain God?

Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do?

Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask him his advice?

Everything comes from him; Everthing happens through him; Everything ends up in him. Always glory! Always praise! Yes. Yes. Yes.
